Altered Star!

I had such a great scrappy weekend at the crop! I even won a set of typewriter letter stamps. My scrapping mojo was in full swing and I accomplished a lot. Some of it will be posted in my DT gallery tomorrow, and the rest of it will be posted next week. I did a few LOs, including one for a special friend of mine, and two chipboard albums, an acrylic album, and a couple of other altered projects. One of them I especially love and plan to keep it for myself. It is a metal star that I altered with pictures of our family on it. I love how it turned out and thought I would share it with you. I had a dear friend, Estee, that made one and I had to lift her idea.

Upcoming Crop!

I am going to a 3 day crop this weekend! This is one that I have been to in the past and its wonderful. Very organized and only about an hour from our home. Three of my friends are going too, so we will bunk together at the hotel that is hosting the crop. I hope to finish the projects that have been sitting "on the shelf" for so long already. I have two chipboard albums to finish...one only has two pages that need done, and the other, a Christmas album, needs the pictures added. They are on the top of my agenda for the weekend! I also have an ABC album that has been in the making for so long, I am embarassed to say! Then, I will move on to some LOs that I need to finish for the month. So, I am busy getting all of my stuff together. You know, take everything that you can squeeze into the car, just in case you might need it! Hopefully, what I take will get used!

Toot!

The heritage LO that I did about one of my younger brothers is going to be published in the Scrapbooking.com ezine in June! I am so happy, especially since it is about my dear brother. The title of the LO is, "My Brother Is My Hero". It features a photo of him in his military duds and one of him and his family. He is a very special person in my life and this is a wonderful way to show him how much I love him.

Card of all cards!

I received this card in the mail today. It was made by a very dear friend of mine and mailed from the UK. I actually saw a picture of it when it was posted in our gallery at KT on my BD, but there is no picture that does it justice! I was totally blown away when I opened this fabulous, glamorous, amazing card! It should have been submitted somewhere, anywhere! But alas, dear Rose, chose to send it on to me instead. There are no words to describe my feelings at the moment. To think that you created this card especially for me. Thank you my dear friend! And thank you too for all of the other BD goodies that you sent to me! I just had to share this card....
