Digital Scrapping!

Its the rage, although I haven't the nerve to take it up! I think about it, and then say to myself, "I spend enough time in front of the computer without scrapping there too!" I would lose that creative touch that I so love while using my hands, tools, and pretty papers! I'm just not ready for that yet. However, I can do hybrid with no problem.

I have a friend from one of my fav sites that has her own digital designs and they are truly awesome. She is also the designer of Chloe's Closet for Imagination Project. Love her work too! I have added her blog to my inspiration list, so if you some time, visit Chris's blog and check out her digital designs! You will love them.

HAPPY EASTER!

Just a quick little paper maché egg that I altered for my nieces daughter. I have filled it with some Easter goodies! This weekend will be a family filled, festive one, with our children, grandchildren, parents, and sibings! I am so looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating this joyous holiday with them. May you have a blessed and Happy Easter too!

My beloved friend Kristy, has stepped down as the coordinator of our DT. No one will know how much she has done for our site, especially, "behind the scenes". She made the right decision although it was a most difficult one for her. We are fortunate that she will still be with us at KT and have more time to reap the benefits of her hard work! I have been chosen to take her place, but I'm not sure I will ever be able to fill her shoes! I will give it my best, you can be sure of that. To Kristy, I salute you and everything that you stand for and have done for KT Crafts!

Spring Fling Crop!

Yesterday we had our "Spring Fling" crop at KT. I must say that it was a success! We had some issues with the forum, but thankfully, it was after the crop was over. We started out on Friday evening with our pre-crop, "Spring Fling...Just Around The Corner". What a great time! I really love the evening pre-crop. The members that aren't able to be on during the day always find time to stop by for the evening events. We had some fun games, challenges, and classes. Then, Saturday, we repeated the fun with BINGO, my "Pot of Gold" hunt, which by the way, is still going on, and classes, challenges, and games. I have hidden 10 gold coins throughout our site for the members to find. The first to locate all 10 and PM me, is the winner of a great prize!

I have also been scrapping this week and finished a few things that I will post on Tuesday. The crop projects kept me busy so my other projects are limited. But, I am happy with what I have finished!

I love....

Today was a fairly decent day! I love that it stays lighter in the evenings now. A friend of mine came over and we scrapped all day long! I worked on some of my projects for my guest DT position and the crop coming up this weekend at KT Crafts! Which, btw, is less than 48 hours away! I can hardly wait. We always have such a great time at our cyber crops.

I made these cute little flip flops for another friend's triplets to put in their Easter baskets. Its been a long time since I had little girls that could wear shoes this small! Mine are all grown up and wouldn't think of putting something like this on their feet! But they did once upon a time! Now, I just have to finish the baskets that these and some other little goodies are going into!
That shouldn't take long, once I get them started. It's getting started that takes so long!

Two of my latest creations have been published on the Basic Grey website. One of them, "Real Life", is a LO that you will find in my previous post titled, Busy! The other is a CD magnet that I made for a swap at KT. It was for my friend, Jana!

March is National Craft Month!

And crafting I am! I was selected to be a GDT member at RMH for the month of April. Last week I received my list of projects to complete. They are to be turned in by March 10th if possible! Gheez, I better get busy! I have two completed out of the 4-8 that I need to do.

We are also having our all day crop at KT on Saturday, March 15th, so I have been working on projects for that too. My craft area looks like a tornado went through! But, I truly think that crafters do their best work under pressure and in the middle of a mountain of chipboard, ribbon, and papers! At least I do. So, March will be another busy month at the craft table for me!

Busy!

We are busy at KT getting ready for our online crop on March 15th. There will be a Friday evening preview again. We had a blast with this during the last crop. The DT is working hard to organize and make this our best crop yet!

I actually made time over the weekend to get some scrapping done. In between getting my crop classes and challenges ready, I managed to complete 3 LOs. I was really excited with how they turned out!

Our February Mini Crop!

Well, the DT had a mini crop for our members on Feb. 9th and boy did we get a surprise in return! Seems the members decided to hold their own mini crop and challenge us DT members! Their reasoning was that we always "dangle carrots in their faces" and keep them in suspense whenever we plan anything for them. We had 5 challenges to complete and upload by February 29th. I am happy to report that we accomplished and completed all of these with flying colors. They ranged from technique, fantasy story, colors and no cardstock to altering the wooden word, "LOVE"! And, the kicker....we received an artificial carrot that was so real looking, that we just had to alter that too! So, here are the fruits of my labor....
