Playground Fun!

I have been trying to find the time to scrap this photo since the end of July.  It's a layout of Caraline at the playground.  She is looking pensively over the railing with her big blue eyes.  I can only imagine what she is thinking at this particular moment.  A rare "idle" one for her!

Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill, Patterned Papers: My Mind's Eye; Sentiment: K&Co; Brad: K&Co; Doilies: Wilton; Flowers: Prima; Jewels: Doodlebug; Metal Frame: Ranger; Sticker Embellishments: Jolee's, K&Co; Stick Pin: JoAnn's; Ribbon: Stamper's Junction/Etsy; Other: Metal photo corner

I wanted to mimic the wood play set in the photo and ironically, the My Mind's Eye, "Miss Caroline" (spelled a little differently than our Caraline) paper was perfect!  The metal screw brad from K&Co. was another perfect fit for attaching the cross pieces of paper.

Blue was a necessity on the layout to highlight Caraline's gorgeous blue eyes.  I used this awesome ribbon that I scored from an Etsy shop along with blue sapphire jewels from Doodlebug as my accents.  Another great deal was the heart shaped hat pins from JoAnn's.  30 in the package for a mere $1.49!  Now that's a steal.

I wanted to maintain most of the white space, but needed a filler in the corner.  A white doily heart was just the right touch!

Thrilled with the results to say the least.
Thank you, Vicki, for this awesome photo of our beautiful granddaughter.

Fabulous layout Vicki! I love how you embellished the wood pieces and the pop of yellow is wonderful. The photo is just adorable. Thanks for the inspiration!
