Follow Up Friday with Graphic 45 French Country Collection

Today I want to share a few projects that I created with Graphic 45's French Country Collection.
What an amazing collection of vintage patterned papers.  Sunflowers, along with the rich reds, golds, blues and greens make this one of my all time favorite Graphic 45 collections.

I couldn't wait to play with these papers when they arrived!

My first  project is an anniversary card that I made for future use.  The sentiment is French and translates to "You are my one love".
I used lots of layering on this card!  The patterned papers are all matted to create a four layer card base and four layer block under the sentiment tag.  I wanted to pull out the reds and blues by using those colors for the matting and adding red and blue feathers along with a small red heart embellishment.  I also used blue ink along the edges of the sentiment tag.

The sunflower is my favorite part of the card!  I used the flower tutorial from our March Guest Designer, Lisa Nazario-Gregory.  Love how it turned out!  Thanks again Lisa for this fun and easy tutorial using coffee filters and mists.  The center of the flower is filled in with two different colors of Flower Soft fibers.  I die-cut and misted the leaves from the same coffee filter.

Close up of the many layers on the card.  I die-cut a three layer circle base under the sunflower too.

Next up is a tag I made.  Again, I used the Promenade patterned paper.  I like that this paper has all of the colors from the entire collection on it.  You can pull out one or all of the colors when embellishing a project.
The Fleur de lis is a  favorite of mine.  You will find it everywhere in our home...doorstops, finials on the curtain rods, bookends, and many other places.  So, adding it to my tag was a sure thing.

The tag is two layers of patterned paper accented with die-cuts and flowers.  The yellow sunflowers were a great background color for the green die-cuts in the upper corner and along the side of the tag.  Blue and white flowers and ribbon helped to pull out the colors in the patterned paper.  The gold Fleur de lis 3-D sticker, white pearls and sticker letters finished of the detail work on the tag.
