World Card Making Day!

Tomorrow, October 6th, the first Saturday in October, is World Card Making Day.  A day to celebrate the "kick off" of the holiday card making season.

Card makers world wide are invited to take part and share their creativity by making hand made cards for family and friends this holiday season.

At CropStop we are celebrating World Card Making Day too.

I started my holiday cards early using one of The Crafters Workshop's fabulous templates.  Throw in a Heartfelt Creation stamp and some glitter and you've got a gorgeous holiday card.

Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill; Template: The Crafters Workshop; Stamps: Heartfelt Creations,  Inkadinkadoo; Ink: Ranger, Tsukineko; Glitter: Ranger; Embossing Powder: Sparkle n' Sprinkle; Glue: Ranger; Punch: EK Success;  Other: Feathers

I used the Mayan Calendar Template for the background behind my Poinsettia flower.  After placing the template,  my Ranger Emboss It Dauber was perfect for going over it and getting into the small areas.  Then I covered it with Sparkle n' Sprinkle Blueberry embossing powder and heat set it with a heat embossing tool. To add a glistening effect, I covered the embossed area with Inkssentials Glue n' Seal and covered with Ranger Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter.

This Heartfelt Creation Poinsettia Stamp is one of my favorite.  I stamped, embossed and covered each layer with Ranger Faded Jeans Ink and Sparkle n' Sprinkle Embossing Powder. The entire flower was covered with Ranger Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter.  For dimension, I added pop dots between the flower layers.

You can find a great selection of The Crafters Workshop Templates in the CropStop Store along with many of your other crafting needs.
