Romance is in the air!

It's Friday, the first one of the new year!  And, my holiday mojo is still pushing forward.  Today, I would like to share another first.... a Valentine card for 2013. 

I created the base for my card using Bazzill and Core'dinations cardstock in gray, pink, and white.  The Pink Paislee Secret Crush paper pad was a combination of different shades and patterns of these three colors. I highlighted the pinks and grays with a touch of turquoise jewels, twine, and die cut hearts. 

 

After adding the patterned papers, the next layer was a doily made using the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily Die-cut, one of my favorite! I matted the Memory Box Puffy Clouds with turquoise cardstock for added dimension.

The Memory Box Pennant Banners are criss crossed behind the clouds.  I added a few of the Memory Box Twirled Heart Borders under the banner and doily using pink and turquoise cardstock and some of the patterned pink paper.

The totally awesome Hot Air Balloon Die-cut is from La-La Land Crafts. A few Doodlebug pearls, jewels, and a couple of hearts for embellishing and the balloon is almost finished!

The sentiment was printed on cardstock and cut out using the Spellbinder Ribbon Banner Die-cut.  I tethered the balloon with some Close To My Heart Twine.
