Now, on to my project...

I altered a mini paint can that has been in my stash for a while just waiting for the right time to come out of hiding.  It is part of a desktop collection that I made for my niece who is starting her first year in the teaching profession.

The set includes the mini paint can pencil/paint brush/catchall holder along with a few giant clothespin clips for holding important messages.

I covered the paint can with patterned paper and glued crayons the entire way around aligning them with the bottom of the can.  Next, I cut a strip of patterned paper and adhered it over the crayons.   I grabbed my handy dandy Craft-Dee BowZ Tool and a piece of sheer red, satin edged ribbon for the bow to embellish the front.  Making a bow has never been so easy as it is with my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool.  It takes all of the stress and frustration out of it entirely!  I tied ribbon strips around the handle of the paint can and added an apple embellishment below the bow.   The lettering strip around the top of the can was the perfect place to add a teacher's name.  I also filled the finished paint can with lots of goodies that a new teacher will need!  To complete the desk set,  I altered a couple of giant clothespins to use as note holders.

I almost did a paint can! Glad I didn't as I don't think mine would have stood up to yours at all! Great project and awesome job!
