Rogue Redhead's "Dwell in the Possibility"

Ugh! With this Polar Vortex hanging around making most of the country miserable with relentless wind, cold and snow, I can't help but "Dwell in the Possibility" of warmer weather! So, my Vintrigue selection of Rogue Redhead Designs stamps were in order for this card.  I used an image from the Beach Babes Plate and sentiment from the This N' That Plate to create this colorful and fun card.

 "Dwell in the Possibility"

Pantone's color of the year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid, not one you see often in crafting, but colors in my newest paper collection, Violet Crush from Kaisercraft.  I love this collection! The card base of white cardstock is covered with two layers of patterned paper.  The hearts are die-cut in two different sizes, with two patterns for each size.   I cut the hearts in half and pieced together the different patterns for each heart.  Next, I stamped the girl image on both white and patterned paper.  I fussy cut the dress from the patterned paper and pieced it over the cut out cardstock image.  The leaves are die-cut from a matching green paper in my scrap stash. I added a few fussy cut butterflies, pearls, the stamped sentiment tag with twine bow and some white faux stitching to complete the scene.

I hope you were inspired with my paper pieced card!

It's a beauty, what a great card. As for the weather, it's been quite mild in Scotland, we haven't had our seasonal snow - think you guys are hogging the white stuff! Not that I mind though. Hope you get warmer weather soon, Jx
