"Joy" with Frosted Designs Shades of Spring

Frosted Designs Scrapbook Kits are fabulous!  That's the least I can say about them.  I've been ordering them since the kit club first started back in October of 2013 and love every single one of them.  Now, as a thank you to kit club members, Frosted Designs is hosting a monthly kit club challenge on the Frosted Designs Blog.

Here's the link to this month's Frosted Designs challenge...
"Kit Club Challenge with Brandi".

With the holidays over and lots of snow to keep me house bound, I finally have time to get caught up on my scrapping and use the stash of kits I have waiting for me.

This layout was created with the most recent kit, Shades of Spring.  It is gorgeous!

"Joy"

I wanted to create a layout that represents the personalities of my daughter and granddaughter.  They have a special relationship full of love, fun and laughter. The Basic Grey Papers in the Shades of Spring Kit were perfect.  I added lots of detail with embellishments from this and past kits along with things in my stash.

The kit challenge requirements were to choose 3 of the 5 items listed below and include them on your project.

Distress Inks
White Signo Pen
Flowers
Wood Shape
Paint Dauber or Resin Embellishment

I chose to use distress inks, white Signo pen, and wood shape.  However, flowers are a "gimme" for me and they jumped on there too!

This photo of our youngest daughter and granddaughter in her Scottie dog jammies snuggling just before bedtime makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy.

Mommy loves Caraline...enough said.

Lots of color, dimension and texture with distress inks, glass bead gel, and foam mounting tape.

Love this color combination on the string of hearts and title word!

Layer upon layer for dimension.

Love to use glass bead gel for texture on flowers and other embellishments.

The chipboard Scottie dog was "too good to be true"!  It was the perfect final touch to go with the photo of Caraline in her Scottie dog jammies.

I used the white Signo pen and wrote across the bottom of the layout on the dark charcoal paper.  It looks like a chalkboard.  The words are a variation of the chorus for the song, Ho Hey, by the Lumineers.

Thanks for stopping by to see my latest layout.  I hope I have inspired you today.
