Craft-Dee BowZ December Challenge/Magic Hat!

December is here already...the final month of 2014 and it's time for another challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Our Design Team theme this month is Christmas/Holiday using the colors of red, green, gold and a multi loop bow.

This is a magical time of year and what could be more magical than a snowman, especially one that comes to life.  I remember watching the holiday shows as a child and Frosty was one of my favorite!

With a corncob pipe and a button nose...

When I came across this black hat shaped basket, I knew it was going to become a magical piece of holiday decor.  I even found snowballs to fill the hat.  It already has a reserved place waiting!

I used both of my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tools to create a large bow for the snowman's hat.   They are attached together with Velcro end to end.  A great and easy way to make larger bows!

The ribbon is soft and wool like...perfect for a snowman!

The finished multi loop bow with short tails is hot glued to the hat band.  I added a large snowflake, corncob pipe, and a sprig of artificial berries to complete the embellishing.
