Craft-Dee BowZ "Think Pink" Blog Hop!!

Craft-Dee BowZ wants you to "Think Pink"!

As many of you know, October is "Breast Cancer Awareness" Month.   This topic is very near and dear to my heart so I was pumped for this blog hop and creating some awesome inspiration for you.  I'm glad you're here and hope you'll hop along with us!

This past year, a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42.  It was a long, bumpy road, but with her amazing attitude and the love and support of family and friends, she has weathered the storm and is now in remission.

Hope, Strength and Love got her through!

KIM...THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!

When we received our DT product this month, I totally fell in love with all of the lovely ribbons.  The star sprinkled ribbon was so fun and I knew I needed to use it on my blog hop inspiration.  I wanted to create a card to lift one's spirits not only with the sentiment, but by the vibrant feel of colors.

And, here is my "Think Pink" inspiration....
"Hope...Strength...Love"

This completed white base card is 6" x 6" in size (6" x 12" folded in half) with a pink bling cardstock mat that is 5 3/4" x 5 3/4".  The patterned chevron paper is cut just a tiny bit smaller so that only a smidge of the pink matting was visible.  I would estimate it to be 5 5/8" x 5 5/8" in size.

To achieve the water color background for the embossed word strips, I inked the inside of the embossing folders with several different colors of water-based ink (Be sure to use inks that will wash off of your embossing folders.  Do not use Staz On or permanent inks).  Next, I placed strips of white cardstock in the folder and ran them through my die cut machine.  I love that the words in white really pop off the colors in the background.

The pink, star sprinkled bow was made with ease using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool.  If you don't own one, you need one!  Order it HERE.  I added some pearls, a small butterfly and awesome ribbon charm that a fellow team member sent to me.  Thanks, Gail!

Want some yummy ribbon to use with your Craft-Dee BowZ Tool?  Take advantage of Ribbon-Ade!  There are two different options available for purchase... 10 yds. of Sheer Organza or 10 yds. of Sheer Polka Dot.  Purchase both at a special price!

This has got to be a favorite -- just the colors alone. And putting orange with the pink just makes this card stand out. Love the sentiments and the entire layout!

This is art. I love how you did the words with the ink inside the embossing folder. After seeing your gorgeous creation, this technique is on my list to try over a long weekend (you know...one where you get one extra day off work and hole yourself up in your craft room to experiment!). The colors are fabulous and your bow is absolutely gorgeous. Hugs, Gail
