Our easy rules are listed HERE, please be sure to take a peek at them.

It's not necessary, but we would LOVE to have you follow our blog
and help spread the word.

It's been a relatively mild winter here in Southeast PA.  Everything is still green and we haven't had any snow yet.  But, I'm sure it's not far off.  It was fun to work with this inspirational photo while creating my project.

I love the stark contrast between the white snow, tree limbs and other features along with the small pop of color.  My card reflects this contrast while having lots of texture and dimension.

"Winter Wonder"

I created this 6" x 6" card using charcoal bling cardstock topped with a corrugated white glitter frame.  The trees, layered over the snowflake patterned paper, are cut from both black and charcoal-silver glitter paper.  I used the black tree to act as a shadow for the silver one.  The snowflake design corners are also cut from bling cardstock and embellished with charcoal gems.  I used chipboard words for the sentiment.  A couple red cardinals add a pop of color and contrast to my background scene.

So, come join us at the Double D Challenge Blog!  You'll find the challenge rules located at the top of the blog.  Link your entry using the Inlinkz icon found at the bottom of the current challenge post.

So beautiful, Vicki! Those red cardinals against the black are stunning, and I love how you cut and layered the trees. Such pretty, delicate snowflake corners, too. Fabulously inspired!
