Craft Hoarders Anonymous May Blog Hop!

It's time for the Craft Hoarders' Anonymous May Blog Hop!

I'm happy to be playing along this month after a hiatus due to health issues.  So, here we go!

We are a group of hoarding crafters...having fun and blogging about our creations.  On the 5th of every month, you will find new inspiration waiting for you from the "Craft Hoarders Anonymous" ladies.  Visit the hoarders in the list below, leave them some love and enjoy the amazing projects you see along the way.  Come back again in June to see new inspiration we have to share!

Here's my May inspiration for you....

Hubby and I will be celebrating our "40th Wedding Anniversary" in October.  I created a two piece set to commemorate the event...a card and a mini album.  Last week I posted the card and you can see it HERE.  Today, I am sharing the mini album.

"40"

I've been hoarding this Kaisercraft chipboard album for at least 6 years in anticipation of our future 40th anniversary.  It was finally time to drag it out and alter it for the upcoming event.  I used Graphic 45's Mon Amour Paper Collection.  The colors are fabulous and it's so romantic.  This collection is one of my all time favorites from G45!

The album consists of three chipboard pieces...the "40" cover and two others.  Below are the individual pieces showing how they are altered.

The "40" is covered with the G45 Mon Amour True Love paper and embellished with G45 tags from the Forever Mine and One and Only papers.  I inked the edges of everything and added additional die cut embellishments along with some mulberry and enamel roses and jewels.

Here are some close ups of the cover details...

I love this white doily against the black printer paper.

The zero made a perfect frame for the fussy cut couple!

Some embellishing on the back of the cover.

The first page is my favorite!  I fussy cut the couple from the Mon Amour paper along with the Mon Amour tag.  The Love Notes tag is from the My Beloved paper.  I added lots of dimension to everything using pop dots behind all the fussy cut pieces and gave the woman a choker necklace using jewels.

The inside pages of the album.

The left page is the back of the first page and covered with  G45 Dearest Darling paper.   The photo mats are embellished with die cut corners and tags.

The right page is covered with G45 Heart's Desire and embellished with die cut corners, enamel roses and more tags. Some very old metal/enamel letters down the edge spell "Forty".  The back of this page is covered with reverse print on the Heart's Desire.  I didn't photograph the back cover because there is no embellishing on it.

From my stash...
