Dies R Us August "Babies" Challenge!

It's August and time for the Dies R Us bi-monthly "BABIES" Challenge!
Yep, here at Dies R Us we offer you two challenges each month....one at the beginning and one mid month.  Lots of time to create, enter, and chances to be a winner!
For the first half of August, we are talking baby language.  There's nothing more adorable than babies, be it human or animal.  We want to see your creations using a "Babies" theme.   Link up your entry at the bottom of the "Babies" challenge post in the Dies R Us Challenge Blog and you could be the next winner of a $10 voucher to use in the Dies R Us Store.  This challenge ends at midnight, August 14th, so get your mojo on and play along!  You can find the challenge post HERE and our guidelines in the left side bar of the challenge blog. While you're there, grab our Dies R Us Challenge Blog widget for your personal blog.
And, most importantly, we want to see DIE CUTS on your project!
Our family is having a baby boom this year with the addition of four new members to the ever growing circle of love.  We welcomed a new handsome grandson in April and will be adding two sweet nephews and a little princess niece before the end of the year.  So, that being said, there is lots of opportunity to create with a "Babies" theme.  Since the princess baby shower is coming in August, it was perfect timing for this challenge.
Here's my "Babies" inspiration...
"Heaven Sent...Precious Baby"

I created this shaker card using Prima's new Heaven Sent Collection.   What an amazing paper collection with beautiful colors!  This 6 x 6 card has lots of layers and details including matching sequins inside the shaker cover.  I fussy cut the hot air balloon from one of the patterned papers and gave it dimension using pop dots.  The surrounding clouds, honeycomb corner mat, scalloped circle trim and stems are also cut from patterned papers in the collection.  The sentiments are from the matching sticker collection.  I inked all of the edges to give the card a vintage feel.

I added lots of dimension to my fussy cut and die cut embellishements!

The little baby reminds me of the ones I played with when I was young.

I also fussy cut the baby hanging from the parachute and adhered it to the background inside the shaker box.

I'm really excited to give this card to my niece at her baby shower this month!  Then, on to the next baby card for October.
