Good morning crafty friends...I'm here to share another altered project...an easy, peasy one too!
My mother's checkbook cover was a little battered looking and she wanted a new one but wasn't able to find any that she liked. And, that leads us to this fun project...a checkbook cover.
Birds are a favorite of my mom's and she has a lot of items embellished with them.
Here you can see the original checkbook cover along with the die cuts and papers I used to make and embellish the new one.
I measured and cut the paper to the size of the original cover. The birdhouse die cut was a little too tall so I had to alter the height. I also cut out a few birds using another die cut in my stash.
I scored the cover to fold over the checkbook, and inked all of the edges.
And, here's the finished cover! I added a coral heart to the center of the middle bird house. The clouds are inked with the same blue as the cover edges. A few branches and birds finish the cover.
