Wish Upon a Star...

Welcome back blogger friends!

Today we have a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog.

Team Darlene is hosting this " The Moon & Stars" Challenge along with additional inspiration from Team Diane.   Stop by the Double D Challenge Blog for guidelines and link up your "The Moon & Stars" project by Sunday, September 2nd.  You could be one of our Top 3 or Top Creative Winner chosen by the Design Team.  There's also a prize chosen by random.org for one lucky player.  Everyone is welcome to enter the challenge.

You could be the winner of this amazing die cut!

Yvonne Creations Filigree Moon.

And, as always, we have awesome mood board inspiration for you!!

Everything about this mood board called to me...the stars, harvest moon colors and the love and companionship of the boy and his dog.

"Best Wishes"

I found the perfect background paper in my stash for this 6" x 6" card.  The swirls remind me of Van Gogh's painting Starry Night.  The embossed background was created with We R Memory Keepers Script folder, "To the Moon and Back".   The stars and sentiment are cut from glitter paper and the moon is a shimmery silver paper.   The love between a father and daughter is always special and I thought this die cut image worked well with the moon and star theme.

I love dimension on my cards and this one is no different!  I used die cut images and foam tape to create lots of layers.  This father and daughter are wishing upon a star!

You really gave this theme some thought. I have seen the Van Gough painting stary night and you are right, this reminds me of that. Great job on this one. I love the whole idea of this card.

Love your card, Vicki. Great shimmer and glitz. You are right the paper is perfect and it does remind me of Van Gogh's painting Starry Night. One of my husband's favorite songs is Vincent, a song with allusions to the painting. Great job on this challenge.

I love your background paper too, it's wispy and magical, just what one would expect on a moonlit night! You know I love that father daughter die, such a bond! Your stars are the perfect accent to this beauty!

What a beautiful way to use this father/daughter die! Lovely design with the moon and stars, all glittery and set against the pretty paper. You've got lots of texture and dimension, yet a card that can be mailed in an envelope. Love that!
