Hi there, blogger friends!
Today, I'm sharing a few cards that I created this past week. I've been so busy with family life, that my crafting has, once again, taken a back seat to more important things. Not that my crafting is not important!! I would be totally lost without the down time that it provides me. But, family is the main priority in our home...
So, here are a few cards that I am linking to challenges that I came across while posting comments on our Double D Challenge entries. The topics piqued my interest and I certainly had the stash to follow their themes and play along with other challenges too.
First up is a card I created for the Time Out Challenge, "Inspired by Words" and The Paper Girls "Sparkle and Shine" Challenge.

"This girl is on fire..."
I love the song, "This Girl Is On Fire" by Alicia Keyes. It is so inspiring and makes me think of how proud we are of our daughters' success in life. The card, of course, is my favorite square size with layers and die cuts. The stamped image is from an old stamp set I found on a crop swap table. It is now part of my crafty stash! I inked around the image and the sentiment with distress inks. The die cut layer is matted with an orange foil and adhered to a white card base.
Next up are cards I created for the Little Red Wagon, "Stick It" Challenge.

The challenge calls for the use of Washi Tape. Not something I use frequently, but I recently purchased tape in golds, pinks and turquoise colors that I wanted to use together on card fronts. These are easy peasy birthday cards that take only minutes to create. The sentiments are stamped and cut using circle and banner dies. I embellished with candi dots.

Wow you were busy! I love the first card. The background and layered die cut part is so cool! Great score on that girl stamp too. And your birthday cards are fabulous too! Thanks for joining our Time Out challenge!
Fabulous cards! The girl card is just stunning and so beautiful, I have never seen that stamp! It looks great with your design!
Great idea making quick cards with washi tapes, love them!
The orange foil behind that corner die-cut and the background inks behind the pretty silhouette really made a gorgeous card. And the second card is just as beautiful. As information, Double Trouble is partnering with The Paper Girls for this challenge and I know these two cards don't fit our theme at Double Trouble "Love is in the Air" and sparkle/Shine, but sure would like you to see what we're all about and share maybe another entry for this challenge and/or future challenges.
These Washi Tape cards are amazing. The colors are totally cool - love it !
Thanks for joining our "Stick it - use Washi Tape" Challenge over @ Little Red Wagon. I hope to see you back again soon !
