Hi crafty friends!
Wow, we're down to the last month of 2024!
The Double D is live with their first challenge in December. If you haven't already started decorating, then it's time to get out those ornaments and get er' done! The Double D's challenge theme is "Christmas Ornaments" and the mood board brings so many childhood memories to mind of the vintage ornaments on our tree as a child.
There's a prize to one lucky winner too!
Cottage Cutz Deer & Birch Ornament
The pinks and blues of the vintage ornaments inspired my card...
Noel
I find myself using a lot of metallic and glitter papers recently. Love the sparkle and elegance this time of year. The white background is embossed with pine branches, inked lightly with distress inks and spritzed with glimmer mist. I did a bit of paper piecing with the different colors to get the feel of the vintage ornaments on the mood board and tucked in a pine branch behind them.
From my stash...
Bazzill metallic cardstock
Diemond Dies Pine Branch
Imagine Shimmer Spritz - Sparkle
Recollections Glitter Paper
Richard Garay Pine Branch EF
Spellbinders Ornament Border
Tim Holtz Distess Inks - Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry
Tutti Design Snow Globe Sentiment

Hope to see you back soon.

Beautiful ornaments Vicki with all the pretty shine and shimmer, they do remind me of the Shiny Brite ornaments!!
Those ornaments are AWESOME! Tis the season for sparkle and shine so you've certainly grabbed the correct papers for the job! Beautiful holiday design Vic ... love it!
You should always use the metallic and glitter papers, they are fantastic! Love the baubles, so pretty....great colors too! This is magical! Love the 'noel' I always have to look that definition up....'to be born' Perfect! Merry Merry!
Your vintage inspired ornaments look just like the box of Shiny Brights in the inspiration photo. Beautiful!! Love all the shimmer and shine~
Those breathtaking ornaments on the pine branch background look like they are ready to be hung with care on the tree. I shinny foil that you used is a fabulous addition to them.
