Welcome back crafty friends!
February is a busy birthday month in our family and one of them just happens to be on Valentine's Day! This was a great opportunity to make a Valentine birthday card in collaboration with the new challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog.
For the next two weeks, the theme is, "Hearts". The mood board shares some lovely inspiration and there's a prize to be had for one lucky winner.

I made a slimline card for this challenge...
happy birthday to you
I pulled out lots of older stash for this card. The cardstock, lace border punch, heart dies, and ribbon are all more than 5-6 years old. The birthday sentiment is part of a set that I purchased last year. Actually, nothing is new including the ink but it all came together for this pretty birthday Valentine.
From my stash...
Elizabeth Craft Banner Die
Martha Stewart Lace Border Punch
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Momenta Heart Dies
Recollections Cardstock
And, there's a new challenge blog you won't want to miss. Yep, Diane and Darlene have yet another challenge blog to play along with, "Neglected Stuff Challenge Blog". I think all of us can relate to this! I'll certainly be linking up to this one! Check it out.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope to see you again soon.

This is fantastic in blues! Love the slimline design and all those fabulous hearts! We celebrate two birthdays on Valentine's day as well. Happy celebrating this month!
Your card is another reason that we need to keep all of our crafting supplies. If only we had the room for that! I love the color that you used and the many hearts and lacey look. We have a Valentine birthday too.
Beautiful! Love that you created a slimline to incorporate all of those pretty layered hearts! And that die cut beneath is gorgeous! Great Valentine/Birthday card! Birgit's daughter is a Valentine Baby and so is my Father In Law lol Happy all around!
WOW! This is AWESOME and of course I love the color! Fabulous DT inspiration and thanks for also playing along and supporting our new challenge adventure. We just HAD to start this new blog as Diane & I don't seem to get rid of anything and needed an outlet to dig deep and have some fun with our 'old' stuff.
Love, love, love...this design. It's gorgeous!

Everything old is new again, as shown so beautifully on your slimline string of hearts, Vicki! Geez, a lot of the stuff sitting in my NBUS baskets would be considered old by now. Not neglected, just not used yet. I'm working on it!
Oh, baby, do I LOVE this card. How did you know I'm a purple gal....lol! That pretty die cut lacy border behind the hearts really makes them pop, and I love that you used the 2 shades to layer. And then that strip of ribbon on there too, it just brings everything together. GORGEOUS!!!!
Fantastic card Vicki, love those gorgeous purple tones and of course the wonderful hearts lookinf fabulous on that slimline card. I'm a hoarder so have tons of old stuff which I really need to use more often.

This is so pretty. I love when people use things from their stash to make a card. Love the purple.
