Marshmallow World!

Today I want to share a layout that I had a great time creating!

Meet Caraline, my marshmallow girl.  I'm sure you have seen her in other layouts on my blog.  She is a favorite subject of mine.

In February, I attended my nieces baby shower along with my two daughters and granddaughter.  My sister made sure that there were lots of treats for little people to snack on.  Caraline spied these giant marshmallows dipped in blue/white chocolate, sprinkled with candy crystals on paper straw sticks.  And, of course, she had to have one.

 "It's a MARSHMALLOW world"

I found some Prima patterned paper in my stash that I thought would be a great background for the photos.  The Crafter's Workshop Boulder Template was another background detail that I used along with some Liquitex Modeling Paste, Judikins MicrobeadsDylusions Calypso Teal Ink Spray and Ranger Picket Fence Distress paint.

I diluted some Ranger White Picket Fence Distress Paint and let it drip down the patterned paper.  Then, I added the template and modeling paste.  The Liquitex Modeling Paste is my favorite to use with stencils and templates.  It is dries fairly quick and is light weight so it doesn't weigh down my layouts. A fine mist of Dylusions Calypso Teal Ink Spray was next. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to add microbeads on a few of the boulders to mimic the marshmallow in the photo.

Below the bottom photo, I added strips of Bo Bunny and Echo Park patterned papers cut with an EK Success Zig Zag Border Punch and Spellbinder Grand Label Die-cut.  I added some burlap, green floral and white embroidered circle trims.  The final touch was several mini straws that I made with a scrap of My Mind's Eye Chevron paper that looked like the straw stick.  The white sponge Thickers from American Craft were another "take" on the marshmallow theme on the layout.  The small sticker lettters above and below the title are Echo Park.

It turned out to be a really fun layout!
Thanks for stopping by to share my "It's a MARSHMALLOW world"!
