Merry Christmas..."Inside the Box"

Merry Christmas!  And, as promised, I am sharing the inside of my altered "Our Christmas Story" book.  This is where we will store precious holiday memories year after year.

"Our Christmas Story"

I lined the inside of the box with the same Festive Collection papers from Authentique that I used on the outside cover.

The inside or back of the front cover features the title of our memory box and a vintage Santa.  A few of the other embellishments include holly berries, a magic key and the date.

The laser cut wood frame around the title is coated with Clear Rock Candy Distress glitter, a staple in my scrapping stash.  The flower is sprayed with shimmer mist.

I used brick and printed paper as the background behind the chipboard Santa.  The holly leaves are sprayed with Shimmer Mist and the holly is covered with distress glitter.  The key is an old Memory Box from my stash.

The right side, and actual box, will hold the time capsule and yearly entries.  Each year we will add new memories written on tags and placed in envelopes labeled with the year.

The time capsule is a special container that will not be opened until 2030.

Vicki,- time capsules, what a great idea. So creative. Love your box design and all the pretties. It will be fun to open the capsule in the future and look back.

What an incredibly wonderful idea, Vicki! I wish I had thought of that a long time ago. And when do these "capsules" get opened? How exciting!
