"You're Owlsome"!!

Hey there blogger buddies...

February is flying by, no thanks to the groundhog, Punxutawney Phil!  And speaking of Phil, today on the Double D Challenge Blog, we are celebrating our "Woodland Creature" friends.  Yep, that's our challenge theme for the next 2 weeks.  Team Darlene is heading up this challenge along with more inspiration from Team Diane.

How adorable is this mood board?  Link up your projects to the Double D Challenge Blog, "Woodland Creatures" post by midnight, March 4th.  You could be a badge winner or even a prize winner chosen by random draw.
Here's the prize being offered...

Karen Burniston Woodland Animals Die Set

My "Woodland Creature" friend is the owl!

This 6 x 6 card base is layered with cardstock and new 49 & Market patterned papers with lots of dimension.  I fussy cut around the patterned edge to leave an opening for the owl image.  The flowers have a touch of Rock Candy dry glitter and micro bead centers.

I gave the owl's feathers a little shimmer too!

The multi loop bow is layered over feathers and topped with foamiran flowers that I made using a die cut, ink and black micro beads.

The computer generated sentiment was cut with Elizabeth Crafts Designs pop up banner die.  I added a couple of pearl stick pins to complete the embellishing.

Challenges entered:
UnstampaBelles Challenge #76 - Anything Goes/Something New (49 & Market)3-1
Scrapy Land Challenge #84 - Anything Goes with SL Die/3-4
Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - A Banner Year/2-25

So come and join the fun at the Double D Challenge Blog.  You'll find our challenge guidelines HERE along with more inspiration for my Double D Teamies!

Thanks for stopping by my blog...
Hope to see you here again soon!

Have a fab day!

This is fabulous Vic! Love that owl and you've showcased him beautifully! The feathers are the perfect coordinating touch (I'll have to keep that idea in mind). Great job and awesome inspiration!

This card is amazing, just beautiful, the owl is just beautiful and the way you fussy cut the opening and highlighting the berries, it is just beautiful. I love how you can pull colors out of the board that at first you don't really see. Wow its beautiful. Great Job.
