Just Wing It, "Sugarplum Faerie"!

Hey there blogger friends!

It's time for our 2nd challenge of the month at the Double D Challenge Blog.  Team Darlene is hosting for the next two weeks with the fun theme, "Just Wing It".  As always, we have a great mood board to share with you!

We want to see how these photos inspire your project.  The colors, the images, and the wings!  Link your creation to the Double D Challenge Blog post, Just "Wing" It by midnight, April 1, 2018.  You could be the Top Creative Winner or one of the Top 3 chosen by our Design Team and receive a Double D Winner Badge to display in your blog. Guidelines are in the blog sidebar.

There's also a fun prize with the winner being chosen by random draw from all entries.  Prizes are shipped internationally too, so everyone is welcome to play along!

Frantic Stamper's Fairy & Flower Die Set.

I was inspired by the shades of purple and silhouette fairy image.
Here's my Just "Wing" It inspiration for you...

"Believe"

This 6" x 6" white cardstock base is layered with lavender glitter paper and 49 & Market's Heirloom Botanicals patterned paper.  The background die is cut from white and inked with lavender chalk.  I cut the center of this die again using the lavender glitter paper for the lantern background.  The Sugarplum Faerie is cut from black glitter paper and adhered inside the rose gold metallic lantern.  I used a piece of clear transparency for the lantern glass.  The "Believe" sentiment is cut twice with the lavender glitter as the matting for the white cardstock.  A few gems, flowers and a bow complete the details.

From my stash...
American Crafts Glitter, Metallic Cardstock
Bazzill Cardstock
Clearsnap Colorbox Lavender Chalk Ink
49 & Market Heirloom Botanical Collection

Well, I just love the idea of putting the fairy inside the lantern. It reminds me of Peter Pan when they put Tinker Bell in a glass jar and she lit up the place.

Gorgeous card Vicki. I have that die and seldom think to use it. I love how you put the fairy in the lantern like her own little stage. Beautiful flowers paper and overall design.

What a clever and creative way to use the lantern and fairy. It reminds me of Tinkerbell when she was stick inside the lantern on Captain Hook's ship. This is just beautiful with all the pretty patterned paper and flowers. Well done!
