It's in the Stars!

Happy Monday Blogger friends!

July is here and that means our country's birthday is just days away.  In honor of this celebration, I have created a shaker card in red, white and blue with star windows using Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Stars and Celebrate Word Set.

"Celebrate"

Shaker cards are always fun, festive and easy to create!

Red, white and blue cardstock
Transparency for window
3 different size Nesting Stitched Stars

I cut the star windows in the white cardstock and saved the die cut stars to use later.

Next, I cut and adhered the transparency to the back of the die cut cardstock.  I used foam tape to frame where the beads would be added to create the shaker card.

Tutti tip...when using foam tape for dimension on shaker cards, add talc to the inside edge to keep your shaker elements from sticking to it.  This was great advice from a friend of mine that I use often.

I filled the frame with red, white and blue mini beads, gave it a red cardstock background and adhered it to the blue card base.

I cut the Word Set Celebrate from both red and blue.  The large blue is matted with red and the small red with blue.  I used the white stars to embellish along with a few blue ones.

Be sure to visit the Tutti Designs Store  for all available die cuts in the most recent release along with the full inventory of Tutti Dies.
