Cottage Cutz Paddles & Rope Ladder Die Set

The sailboat was my card inspiration...

Once again, I used my favorite square format when making this card.  The patterned papers were leftovers in my stash that I have been hoarding forever.  They are from Maja Designs, "Life by the Sea" collection.  I used gray, navy and white cardstock for the base and accent colors.  And, I never make a card without using die cuts! The sailboat is stamped, fussy cut and matted with navy carstock.  I stamped the sentiment over the image.

From my stash...
Bazzill and Core'dinations Cardstock
CTMH Enamel Star Dots and Inks
Graciellie Design "Set Sail" Stamp Set (Unity Stamps)
Maja Designs "Life by the Sea" Collection
Taylored Expressions Banner Dies
Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Rectangles

Come along and join the fun at the Double D Challenge Blog!  Link your project to the Double D "Nautical" challenge today.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I hope I have inspired you to play along.
Stop back again, soon!

There are a lot of things to look at on your card. The layers and the colors and the ship. I went right to the sentiment and I love it. Grand card.

The black and white fits the sentiment perfectly. The papers are beautiful and you have added so many details.

Sheesh, Vicki, there's nothing about this that's NOT nautical! Every bit of it fits together perfectly. Your papers and image and little star accents are so cool. I know... it's so hard to make a card without dies anymore, isn't it? Who wants to try? Not me! It's a rare occasion that I turn out a card without them. This is a perfectly outstanding nautical card! Happy 4th to you!

Wonderful! This was one of the first stamp kits I designed for Unity Stamp Co. and it is SO nice to see you bring it to life so elegantly! I agree it is the perfect card for a guy and the way you tied the papers and colors and stamps is perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!

LOVE your nautical card...an amazing design and those 'hoarded' papers sure came in handy and they look as though they were made just for the ship! Love it!!
