Double D, "Snuggle Up, Buttercup"!

Good morning, Blogger buddies!

The winter season is fast approaching along with the wind and chilly temperatures.  It's the time of year when I think of being comfy and cozy in front of a warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate in hand.

You know..."Snuggle Up, Buttercup!"

And, that just happens to be our challenge theme for the second half of November.  Team Darlene is hosting and you'll find lots of inspiration with our current mood board.  Choice is good and we offer lots of room for you to choose from the photos below.   Link your entry to the Double D Blog's "Snuggle Up Buttercup" post and you could be a winner!

We'll be choosing an overall Creative Winner and 3 Top Winners to receive a Double D Badge to display on their blog.  And, one entry, chosen by random draw will be the winner of this awesome prize...

Authentique "Wintery" Collection

Here's my snuggle up inspiration...

 "Cheer"

Nothing like Nat King Cole's crooning voice to bring a warm and comfy feeling on a cold winter's day.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos...

This 6" x 6" card base of green is layered with papers from Photoplay's Mad Plaid Christmas Collection.  The awesome cable stitch embossed layer was made with a folder from Stampin' Up.  This folder makes me swoon!  I simply love the cable stitch embossing.  The journaling card and hot chocolate cup sticker are also from the Mad Plaid collection.  I embellished around the journaling card with a few die cut pine branches, twine and stick pins.  The wood chip word, "Cheer" and a couple of wooden buttons complete the design.

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardstock
Diemond Dies Pine Branch
May Arts Twine
Photoplay Mad Plaid Christmas Collection
Stampin' Up Cable Knit Embossing Folder
Other: Wood chip word, wooden buttons

I hope my card has inspired you to play along with us!

So very cozy looking and so much to love, including those wooden buttons. I'm mad for plaid and this looks like it must be a lovely collection of colors and patterns. I'm also mad for that cable knit embossing folder that several of my teamies used for this challenge. Beautiful and thoughtfully designed card, Vicki! I hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Great minds think alike with the sweater embossing folder. I love what you have done with it here. That plaid background is perfect, and I really like the kraft card stock. Also love the way you have treated the greeting....well done!
