"Handmade with Love"

Good morning Blogger Buddies!

We're gliding, or should I say sliding, through February and ready for the next challenge on the Double D Challenge Blog.  March will soon be here and we are feeling "in the pink" that Spring is on the way.  Our new challenge theme is "Pink and White"!

There's lots of inspiration on the mood board as Team Darlene hosts this challenge along with more ideas from Team Diane.  Join the fun and play along for the chance to win a Creative Badge for your blog or be the random winner of this prize...

Impression Obsession Alarm Clock

And, your mood board inspiration...

This mood board made me think "retro" with the pink, white and hint of turquoise colors.   Although I have an awesome jukebox die, I decided to use one that I received recently from our wonderful leaders on the Double D Challenge Blog.

 "Handmade with love"

I jumped out of my comfort zone for this card.   Not my usual square shape or size with this one being 5"x 7".  I used a favorite retro embossing folder, Nuevo, from Couture Creations for the white background adhered to silver and pink matting on a white card base.  Aprons remind me of my grandmother...She always wore one when she was doing something in the kitchen.  The silver rolling pin, spoon and button accents along with the "Blue Ribbon" really pop against the white apron.  The Handmade with love made a perfect sentiment for this card.

From my stash...
American Craft Specialty Cardstock
Bazzill and Bazzill Bling Cardstock
Couture Creations Nuevo Embossing Folder
Dove Craft Handmade with love Die Set
Frantic Stamper Kitchen Dress Die Set

Challenges entered:
Scrapy Land #108 - Anything Goes with die cut/3-3
Simon Says Wednesday - No Stamps Allowed/2-26
Time Out Challenges #129 - Retro/2-26

Stop by the Double D Challenge Blog and play along with our "Pink and White" Challenge!  You could be a winner.

I hope my card has inspired you to create.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Come back again soon!

Oh that's such a Nana Thing....aprons, love that memory! This is really sweet, that die looks amazing! Definitely a retro vibe. I can't wait til Penny shows an interest in cooking and baking, we shall have matching aprons! :) Great card, love the size too!

I love this die! I've had great fun with it. Gosh, Vicki, you did an amazing job matching up with the mood board. I never would have thought of this. Your card is so cute!!

Just too cute. I love all the little details. I have a bunch of aprons and forget to put one on before I start baking or cooking. I often have to change clothes after cooking, and I say to myself usually out loud "didn't you put on an apron? Funny that you mentioned the square cards. I have your Christmas card and birthday Card on display(both square) and they are so pretty that I decided to make a square card which is very rare for me. You always add such amazing details so mine is not nearly as great as yours always are.

Great design, the apron with its pocket is really a catch-eyes and love the embellishments and the sentiment! A clean look, but full of lovely details!

This larger size card really gave you room to create with these dies. You stuck to the retro and pink and white and I am not sure, but you maybe the only one.
