"Gingham Style"!

Hey, blogger friends!  Happy to see you back again.

Time for a new Double D Challenge...
Did you see my post title..."Gingham Style"?  I just couldn't resist...makes me think of that catchy little tune years ago, Gangnam Style.  And, it remains a constant, just like gingham, a timeless print for the ages.  Gingham brings back memories of fun, childhood days gone by but also subtle prints on a few clothing items I had as an adult.

This brings me to the theme of our second challenge this month..."Gingham".
Team Darlene is hosting along with more inspiration from Team Diane.  Once again, we are offering this fun mood board to get your mojo going...

The Design Team will choose 3 Creative Winners and a Top Creative Winner.  There will also be a winner, chosen by random draw, for the prize below.

Lawn Fawn's Gotta Have Gingham 6" x 6" Paper Pad

I created two projects for this challenge...

"Birthday Wishes"

My first card is a bit shabby chic with a touch of vintage.  Created in my standard square size, I embellished with glass beads that look like the raspberries in the patterned paper, a few leaves and a lovely satin bow!

"live every day with purpose"

Next up is this fun pinwheel card!  It's another square one with some of my favorite colors and makes me think of summer time.  This card doesn't require much embellishing...a button center for the pinwheel and two tags, one with a sentiment included!

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardsock
Clearsnap Ink
Maja Designs Fika Collection
May Arts Twine
Mintaj by Karola Farmlife Collection
Queen & Co Pearls
Really Reasonable Ribbon
Spellbinders Scalloped Circle Die
Other: Beads, button

Not one, but two fabulous cards! Such gorgeous papers on both. I love all my Mintay papers, but Farm Life might be my favorite. I have some older paper similar to your first card, too. It's sooooo gorgeous! Those bead berries are a perfect match! Clever you to make a pinwheel! Looks like you had some fun with this challenge, Vicki! Wonderful!
