"Let's Make Some Music"!

Good morning, blogger friends!

Well, we made it through February....hurray!  Spring is on it's way and we are happy at the Double D.  So happy, that we want to make music.  And, that's the theme of our first challenge for March, "Let's Make Some Music"!

Team Diane is hosting along with additional inspiration from Team Darlene.   Stop by the Double D Challenge Blog for guidelines and link up your "Let's Make Some Music" project by Sunday, March 17th.  You could be one of our Top 3 or Top Creative Winner chosen by the Design Team.  There's also a prize chosen by random.org for one lucky player.

You could be the winner of this amazing die cut!

Frantic Stamper Musical Heart

Here's our fun mood board to inspire you...

I love music, any kind of music.  There were so many ideas that came to mind, but I took my inspiration from the pennant and cone shapes.

Here's why....

Do you know what this is?  Have you ever seen one before?  Well, it's a Metronome.  A device that can be set to a regulated beat per minute.  It is used by musicians to work on timing and tempo.  The ticks represent a fixed, regular pulse.  It's shaped like a pyramid and inspired the DT project I created to share with you.

"Make your own music..."

The pyramid shape was created with black cardstock and musical staff patterned paper.   The black, die cut harp and viola are matted with kraft paper.  I embellished them with turquoise rhinestones.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut using a banner die.  A few coordinating flowers and a pretty yellow bow complete the design.

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardstock
Couture Creations Rhinestones
Docrafts Shimmer Dome Stickers
Elizabeth Craft Designs Banner
Melissa Frances Ribbon
Petaloo Flowers
Ruby Rocket Patterned Paper
Tutti Designs Harp and Viola Die Cuts

Challenges entered:
Cuttlebug Mania - Blue (4) /3-18
Krafty Chicks Challenge #444 - Shimmer & Bling/3-6

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope I have inspired you to play along with our Double D Challenge!

Vicki

Love the way you were inspired, absolutely unique! I'm a musician and yet I would not have come to think of a metronome when looking at the pennant shapes... You are very creative! Love all the details in your project. Thanks for joining us at Time Out!
