Put A Stamp On It!

Hey crafty friends...

Did you know that there is a National U. S. Postage Stamp Day and it's celebrated on July 1st?  I did not!  And to celebrate, you can go to this site and create your own stamp...Postage Stamp.  How fun is that?  What a great activity this would be for teaching kids about the postal service too.

It's always nice to receive a card or letter in your mailbox.  This was a great opportunity for me to use one of my very favorite die sets, Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Postage along with the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Heart.

Here's a card I designed to say "hello" to a good friend that I haven't seen in a while.

"Hello"

The square base design works perfectly with these postage stamp dies.  I included a stamped sentiment die cut with a small heart.

Here's a close up of the layered postage dies.

The bright patterned paper is a scrap from the fabulous Wild Whisper "Sensation" collection designed by Pam Bray!  You can find the collection in the Funkie Junkie Store here in the U.S. and Wild Whisper Store in Canada.  Check it out along with a coordinating stamp set and other embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by...
I hope I've inspired you to use die cuts on your creative projects.

Don't forget to stop by the Dies R Us Challenge Blog and play along.  There's a new challenge posted on the 1st and 15th of every month.  One lucky entry, chosen by random draw, will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  Check out the links below for easy access...
