Happy Monday everyone! Yes, it's Monday again. But, it's a short week here in the states if you are celebrating Thanksgiving. This year has been a super rough one in our home, but we are thankful for family, friends and the end of this year coming soon!
This past week, I've had the privilege of working with a new collection, Simplicity, from Pam Bray Designs with Wild Whisper. The collection includes coordinating papers, stamp sets, stencils, embossing powder and flair embellishments.
Pam's talents are evident in all of her collections, but I especially love the colors and designs she created in the Simplicity collection. Although the bright colors make me think summer, I wanted to create something for the current season.
Here's my gift card project using the reds and greens to go with the current season...
"Sweet"
I chose the variegated green hatch design paper for the purse itself. The poinsettia is cut from a distressed red paper and layered for dimension. I used glass bead gel on the tips of the flower petals and micro beads for the center. The sentiment, "Sweet" is part of the coordinating Simplicity "Little Things" stamp set.
The inside of the purse is lined in black cardstock with the sentiment stamped on an added page.
Close up of the Poinsettia and sentiment.
