Anything With a Heart...

Welcome back crafty friends!

It's time for our second challenge of the month at the Double D. We're still focusing on hearts and our challenge theme is, "Anything With a Heart".  We want to see your cards, LOs, MM projects and/or home decor using a heart.

As always, the DT will be choosing their favorites and one entry, chosen by random draw, will receive the prize below.

Poppystamps Hugs/Heart Die

We have this inspiring mood board to help you along...

I took my inspiration from all of the photos.  The tree bark, bleeding hearts, colored heart picks and the white ceramic pitcher.

"hugs...xoxo"

This A6 size card has many layers.  I used a watercolor paper as the base background.  Next, I die cut a heart in the wood panel paper, embossed it with a woodgrain folder and inked it up a bit.  The watercolor base makes a beautiful background for the heart cut out. The bleeding heart flowers are cut from several colors and used to mat the pink flowers.  I added some shimmer to them with a glitter pen.  The "hugs" and "xoxo" sentiments were cut 3 times and stacked for dimension.

From my stash...
AC Bazzill Cardstock
CTMH Shimmer Brush
Die-namites Heart Flowers
Die-Versions Hugs
Love Nicole XOXO

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hope I've inspired you to play along with our Double D Challenge.

Beautiful card Vicki that has it all!! Love the details and design and those bleeding hearts! Do you know I have tried for years to get bleeding hearts to grow here but to no avail! I guess I should buy a die and then at least I could have some paper ones...hah!!
