Whaley? It's your birthday?

 Welcome back crafty friends!

It's time for our first July challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog.  As slow as the winter seems to go, the warmer weather just flies by too quickly.

We are still loving the summer activities and hanging near the water.  Our challenge theme for the first two weeks of the month is, "Creatures Under the Sea".  The mood board below will help to inspire you.  A huge variety of colors too...check out that multi colored fish!  Spectacular!

We'll be choosing Creative Winners and a prize winner by random draw for the prize below.

Cottage Cutz Sea Turtle and Happy Whale Die Cuts

I have always wanted to go on a "whale watch", so that was my "Creature Under the Sea" choice.

have a whaley great day!

This A2 card has a die cut porthole for the spinner featuring a cute whale.  The patterned paper matting, porthole frame and sentiment matting are cut from kraft cardstock.  All of the patterned papers have a sheen to them that may not be easy to see from the photos.

I used coral patterned paper inside and adhered a matching pocket to hold the sentiment tag.  When the card is closed, only the coral is visible through the porthole.

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardstock
CTMH Sentiment Stamp
Craft Consortium Ocean Tales Collection
Creative Memories Corner Rounder
May Arts Twine
Tutti Designs Stitched Tag Die
Spellbinders Small Standard Circle

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope to see you here again soon.

YOu have the best papers, but you need creativity to create with them. Your Whaley card is just fun and creative. I have been on a whale watch in Maui and Alaska and they are spectacular.
