It's mid July already and time for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog.
But, before I go on, there's some news I want to share...
Darlene and Diane of Double D and blog land fame have a NEW challenge blog that started on July 13th. It will normally start on the FIRST Saturday of each month and end on the last day of each month. It's all about
where the theme is to use your 'hoard' of pattern papers.
You can read all about it HERE!
Now, on to the newest challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog.
Their theme for the next two weeks is Basket Full of Posies. You can create something with a basket, posies or both. They're also offering a prize to one lucky winner.
Here's the mood board...
Neat and Tangled Stamp Set
The mood board is so pretty, but I chose the basket weave as inspiration for my card.
JUST ME SAYING HELLO
The design on the background paper reminds me of a woven basket pattern. I used a rub on from 49 & Markets Krafty Garden as the focal image on a die cut oval framed with a coordinating die cut.
From my stash...

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope to see you back again soon.

This is lovely Vicki! It has a warm vintage charm, which you know I love. What pretty inspiration for this challenge. Gotta love those 49 and Market rub-ons.
What a beautiful creation Vic ... love your colors and design! Thanks for another amazing DT project!
Your flower is picture perfect on this card. So warm and inviting for a recipient. The black frame is striking and stunning.
Yes the background paper does mimic a sweet little aged basket. Love the darlin' little posie, this gives off such a rustic vibe, love it! The oval die cut and pearls are perfect!
You chose the perfect background paper to represent the basket weave factor, and your flower image is really pretty too. Great card!
Oh, I love that shabby chic look on this card. You have used that rub-on perfectly, it's just so pretty. This whole card is just perfect, I adore it.
