Welcome crafty friends!
Is it really November already? It was such a hot summer here in our area and I'm thankful for the temperature relief and looking forward to the upcoming holidays. And because it's now sweater weather, the theme for the Double D's new challenge is
Here's the mood board they're sharing...It speaks warm and cozy, right?
And a prize they are offering to one lucky entrant.
I was inspired by all of the photos on the board...
enjoy the little things
There's nothing more warm and cozy than curling up with a cup of hot cocoa, a snuggly blanket and a book or beside a warm fire. The knit patterned paper made a perfect background for the cozy card front.
There's lots of dimension on this card front using die cuts and foam tape. I cut a napkin from plaid paper to represent the blanket. The mug is topped with whipped cream and embellished with a plaid heart. I used a shade of gold card stock for the sentiment to highlight the color in the plaid paper. The sentiment is cut twice with the word "little" matted opposite of the other words to make it stand out.
