Going Green...

Welcome crafty friends!

March...March...March....let's keep going until it's April please!  Looking forward to the first day of Spring on the 20th.  It's been a long, cold winter here in our area and it's not over yet.

The Double D is sharing their first challenge for March and the topic is "Green".  I always think St. Patrick's Day this month, but went a different direction for this challenge.

Here's the mood board being shared along with a prize to one lucky winner chosen by random draw.

Tim Holtz Distress Stains

I was inspired by the green foliage...

beautiful {just the way you are}

Purging some favorite papers that I've been hoarding to make room for new ones.  The shades of green in these eucalyptus leaves remind me of Spring and worked for this challenge topic.  I embellished with some sheer ribbon, acetate butterflies, pearls and stamped lace from a new stamp set gifted to me.  The sentiment is an older stamp from a company no longer in business, however, I believe the original owner is designing for another manufacturer of stamps now.

From my stash...
 Bazzill Coconut Swirl Cardstock
49 & Mkt. Color Swatch Eucalyptus 6x8 Mini Collection
49 & Mkt. Vintage Artistry Essentials Mini Foliage
Queen & Co. Pearls
Tutti Designs Nesting Scalloped Ovals
Verve Sentiment Stamp

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope to see you again soon.

Oh, such pretty paper! I would purge this right onto a card or two. Listen to me... I have a vast hoard and it doesn't make it's way to a card nearly often enough. This is so lovely with the delicate butterfly, and I really like the sentiment!

I am so glad that you went in a different direction with this card. You have so many design papers and use them so well, I was looking forward to seeing what you did for this challenge. The soft green that you duplicated in the butterflies is just perfect and a very nice touch to make this special as is the oval center with the sentiment.
