Just Because

 Welcome crafty friends!

April is officially half over and there's another challenge up on the Double D Challenge Blog for the remainder of the month.  "Spring Flowers" is the theme.

There's a fun inspiration board and a prize up for grabs.

Creative Expressions Mini Stencil - Positive

I went off course from the mood board, although my card does have pretty flowers on it.

 just because

The background patterned paper is dark in comparison to the pretty Spring colors on the mood board, but I've had this in my stash for way too long and it worked well with the embossing folder and stamp set.  The background layer was embossed on white and cut with a matching die cut.  The top flowers are cut from both white and Pale Rose cardstock and inked with different shades of distress inks and black for the centers to match the flowers in the patterned paper.  The sentiment is part of the stamp/die set.

From my stash...
Bazzill Pale Rose and Feather Boa Bling Cardstock
Memory Box Gracious Floral Stamp, Die and Embossing Folder
Prima Midnight Bloom Planner Patterned Paper
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Black Soot

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope to see you back again soon.
Have the best day!

Those surely are gorgeous flowers and the dark background sets them off perfectly. Very nicely coordinated. Love the Memory Box cut and emboss folders. I think they're some of the best and your card is a shining example of that!

I would say that this is a spring flower card showing off the flowers we have in spring here in Florida. Those big beautiful flowers on the front look like the pink hibiscus and I love the card. I have some in my yard.

Oh my stars, this is absolutely stunning! Those flowers are gorgeous with the papers you used. We have a hibiscus that opens up in August and lasts until the first frost. Such a pretty flower!

Oh, Vicki! This is incredible! I just LOVE the drama of pink and black together, but especially black when it is mixed with pastels. Such a lovely creation! Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog today. You brightened my day!
