Hey crafty friends!
There's a new challenge at the Double D and it's all about "Halloween Colors". Use the colors associated with Halloween to inspire your project. Link it up to the Double D Blog for a chance to be a Top Creative Winner or the prize winner chosen by random draw. Visit the blog HERE for guidelines.
Here's some inspiration...
And the prize...
Tutti Designs Leaves Corner Die
I chose the colors but went with a festive masquerade design.
Can I say that although I like using metallic cardstock for a bit of flare, it is sooooo difficult to photograph the true color without glare. Hmm, that rhymes! I tried different angles to no avail and this was the best I could do. The patterned paper has all of the fun colors that match up with the other details on the card. The streamers and jewels add to the festive design of the mask.
From my stash...
Bazzill Petty Cash, Wild Pansy Cardstock
DCWV Metallic Cardstock
Doodlebug Happy Haunting Patterned Paper
Oplymio Thick Translucent Vellum
Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares Nestabilities
The Greetery Twisted Crepe Die
Tutti Designs Celebrate Sentiment
Tutti Designs Venetian Mask

Great colors and so much shimmer on this fun card. You found the perfect paper for the background. This is super fun!
This is just awesome Vic and you've picked up the sparkle & shine in your photo beautifully!!! Well done!
Without even reading your blog I got the masquerade idea from your card. This is fantastic using Halloween colors in a different way. Oh and by the way you're a poet don't know it.
WOW! FAB design and colors! That Designer Paper is everything, bold, bright and beautiful! (almost blinding lol) Love the metallic masquerade mask too, I can see it just fine! This is just FUN all over!
Festive and fun Halloween colors, love all the shine and sparkle on your card, your combo of dies made a perfect card!!
colorful card, great dies and paper, congrats 💐☺️ happy day
I have the same love/hate relationship with glossy or shimmery paper. So beautiful in real life, but hard to photograph to its best advantage. However, you've managed to show the gloss and glimmer of the purple and gold on this fun, celebratory card and it looks amazing! Very cool mask!
What a fun card, and I LOVE the masquerade theme. How clever, especially with that FABULOUS patterned paper. This is WONDERFUL!!!
