Good day crafty friends!
Today, I'm sharing a card for the first February challenge at the Double D. Diane's team is hosting along with additional inspiration from Darlene's team. The theme is "Vintage/Shabby Chic". They are giving away a great prize to one lucky person chosen by random draw.
and Elementary Washi Tape
Vintage/Shabby Chic makes for a great romantic card...
I went with a simple easel card for this challenge. The lacy heart was cut and layered with three different papers adhering the patterned design on top. I used hot glue to add the pink tulle trim around the perimeter of the heart. Two pink pearls keep the easel in a standing position. I embellished the heart with additional pink pearls and added two stick pins at the top of the heart.
The sentiment is layered four times for dimension with the pink shadowed by the ivory. I inked the edges of the heart and card base to add more to the vintage design.

Vicki, You could not have gotten any more romantic! This card is fabulous with the lacey heart and the tulle around it. Amazing. Making it a stand up card so it can be displayed is a gift in itself. I think that you really got this challenge.
It may be a simple easel card, but it is simply fabulous! So vintage! That heart die cut is everything and I love the placement of it--what an awesome design! The added tulle is genius too! And that little 'calling card' I have so many wonderful emotions from this beauty! Well done!
Wow, this absolutely downright gorgeous, love the added tulle, just adds so much to the vintage/romance look, every detail is perfection!!
Oh Vic this is just stunning ... so romantic!! Love your design and that heart is amazing! Beautifully crafted my friend ... screams LOVE!!
Beautiful vintage look!! Thanks for playing along our February challenge at Die Cut Divas.
You nailed the romantic vintage look here, Vicki! The heart is incredible, and the lovely card/sentiment nestled inside is lovely and meaningful. The tulle, the easel, the pearls... beautiful!
What a lovely card. I am having trouble ready your blog post because of the font you are using. But I do love the card. So glad you joined our February challenge at Die Cut Divas.
