Sharing Humor!

 Hey crafty friends!

It's time for a new challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog.  No foolin'!

Today's theme is "Humor", anything humorous.
This was a tough one for me, once again, as I don't have any funny image stamps or dies in my stash.  But, never fear... I came up with a card that I find humorous.

You're not old...You're retro!

I purchased this fun die set last year and this is the first time I'm sharing a card that I made using it.  When I saw the release, I was with my sister and we both decided it was a must have.  So many childhood memories of those Tupperware bowls in our mom's kitchen cupboards.  I found scraps of cardstock that matched the colors on the insert and made eight sets of bowls.  This past November, I shared them with four of my friends at a scrapbooking crop. I had four remaining sets and used one of them for this card and have three more to use.

The utensil DP is from a kitchen collection that I have and worked perfectly as the background for this stack of bowls.  The fun sentiment is computer generated and speaks for itself.  Retro...when I think retro, I think nostalgia. You know what I mean?  A throwback to years ago when these bowls were stylish and trendy.  Aged, like me!!

From my stash...
Bo Bunny Turquoise Dots CS
Carta Bella Homemade With Love, Baking Stripes
Hero Arts Classic Casserole Die Set
Penny Black Ribbon Stackers Die Set
Other: Misc. scraps of cardstock

You have to be old to know about Tupperware, right! This was a great choice for this challenge. I loved my Tupperware, we all had it. It was a staple in the kitchen.

OMG ... LOVE these tupperware bowls ... the colors are perfect! (I still have Tupperware!!) They also served as great stacking toys for my grandkids (who are now 34 and 29 lol). Great idea and yes ... I'm OLD! lol

So cool and fun and what a great memory! So many orange and avocado colored Tupperware lol And the lids were like socks, you'd always lose them or God forbid your neighbor not return them hahaha FAB card!

Oh, gee, I bought them when they were brand new, too, and have made up a few but not created a card yet. I thought they were casserole dishes, like the old Pyrex. Either way they're soooo fun and I LOVE your card with the sentiment and paper. I wanted to use them for Thanksgiving but ran out of time. This year, maybe! Thanks to you I'm seeing them now also as Tupperware and thinking of orange, yellow, brown, avocado. I still have a few in my cupboard. This is most definitely a humorous card, Vicki!

I think they are casserole like Pyrex, but they really reminded me of Tupperware also.
