My Challenge..."Journal It Is!"

Well, "journal it is"! I made the first challenge at Cropstop for 2010 to "tell your life story"!
I faltered on my journaling in the past few years, but have vowed to get back to writing my memoirs! Here is a layout that I created about my journal and journaling experience.
I used gold UTEE for my book hinges and my Fleur de lis. Then, I added some Carmel Alcohol Ink over the UTEE to give it a more "aged" appearance. The dark blue handmade paper really looks like the leather cover of my journal! I even found a button in my stash with the Fleur de lis on it and added it to my clock. The green tag is the chipboard packaging from some Prima flowers that I have. It was the perfect tidbit of green on my layout.
