Craft-Dee BowZ January Challenge!

It's a New Year!  Are you up for a new challenge?  Craft-Dee BowZ is once again bringing you their "Anything goes with a HANDMADE bow" Challenge.

We love playing with ribbon and creating beautiful bows.  Show us how you add handmade bows to your projects and you could win a Craft-Dee BowZ badge for your blog sidebar.  Just link up your entry to the challenge post located HERE in the Craft-Dee BowZ blog.  You can find challenge guidelines HERE.  The challenge ends January 31st, so there's lots of time to play along.

Craft-Dee BowZ will also have a sponsor for our first challenge of the New Year!
Cute As A Button will be awarding a prize of two digital images to the challenge winner for January.  You don't want to miss this....so be sure to play along.

One of my goals for 2016 is to try, and please note, I said "try" to stay ahead of the game of life.  LOL!!  May not be as easy as it sounds because it is already proving to be a busy one.  Next month is Valentine's Day and I made this card for a very special someone that has been by my side for 40 years this coming October.  Where has the time gone?
Here's my January inspiration for you....

"I Love YOU"

I've had my mind set on using this gold, red and turquoise color combination for a while now.  So, it was all good when the red ribbon arrived in my DT package.

The card base is patterned gold foil paper and cut to 5" x 7" size.  The kraft and gold printed paper is triple matted with red and turquoise cardstock.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment with red embossing powder.   Next, I cut out the sentiment with a scalloped circle die cut and matted it with another circle of the patterned gold foil paper like I used for the card base.  In between the layers, I added a turquoise flourish.

The gorgeous red bow was created using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool.  I love this tool and have it handy at all times.  Two heart stickpins and a gold enamel rose complete the design.
