One of my goals for 2016 is to try, and please note, I said "try" to stay ahead of the game of life. LOL!! May not be as easy as it sounds because it is already proving to be a busy one. Next month is Valentine's Day and I made this card for a very special someone that has been by my side for 40 years this coming October. Where has the time gone?
Here's my January inspiration for you....
I've had my mind set on using this gold, red and turquoise color combination for a while now. So, it was all good when the red ribbon arrived in my DT package.
The card base is patterned gold foil paper and cut to 5" x 7" size. The kraft and gold printed paper is triple matted with red and turquoise cardstock. I stamped and embossed the sentiment with red embossing powder. Next, I cut out the sentiment with a scalloped circle die cut and matted it with another circle of the patterned gold foil paper like I used for the card base. In between the layers, I added a turquoise flourish.
The gorgeous red bow was created using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool. I love this tool and have it handy at all times. Two heart stickpins and a gold enamel rose complete the design.
