Double D September Challenge...Show us your "Trees"!

It's time for September's second DOUBLE D CHALLENGE...."Trees"
September is here and summer is almost over.  The foliage on the trees is changing color from shades of green to bright colors of red, orange and gold.   What could be more inspiring than the colors Mother Nature provides us with?  Hence, our challenge topic, "Trees".

We will be choosing a Creative Winner and Top 3 to receive our Double D Badge to share on your blogs.  In addition, when a prize is available, we will be using a random draw to select the winner.  Today is one of those days and EVERYONE has a chance to win.  International entries are welcome as well!  Enter your project HERE.

This Impression Obsession Evergreen Tree Die will be just in time for your holiday projects!

Play along with our September "Tree" Challenge and you could be our random winner!

We offer four spectacular photos to inspire you while creating your project.  Choose from one of the four or combine them altogether!

Here is my tree inspiration...

I love the stark contrast of the tree silhouette against the different backgrounds.  Since Autumn is just around the corner and my favorite time of year, I chose the warm reds and oranges from the mood board inspiration.

The background of this card was created using several distress inks  After adding the black felt tree die cut, I embellished the tree with leaves and gems.   The sentiment is a wood chip that I bought at the Lancaster CK event in July.  I sprayed iridescent glitter dust over the entire card to add some shimmer.  The front of the card is matted with black cardstock.

The angle view allows for a better look at the shimmer.

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardstock - Black, White
Gems - Queen & Co.
Glitter Dust - Thermoweb
Inks - Tim Holtz/Abandoned Coral, Broken China, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade
Patterned Paper (inside) - Pink Paislee
Wood Chip Circle Sentiment - Melissa Frances
Other: Leaves

Thanks for stopping by to see my "Trees" project.  I hope I have inspired you to play along with our Double D "Trees" Challenge.

That tree is perfect for this challenge as it almost mimics the one in the photo. Love your background and added bling.
