Dies R Us..."Leaves in the trees" Challenge!

It's October and fall is officially here as of September 22nd!  Woohoo!  This is my favorite time of year.  I love the bright colors of spring and summer, but the warm colors of fall are my true love.  Mother Nature has a way of painting the trees with vibrant, warm colors this time of year.

Which brings us to our current Dies R Us Challenge..."Leaves in the trees".

For the first two weeks of October, we challenge you to create a project that represents "the leaves in the trees".  So grab those die-cuts and show us what you can do with them. Add leaves, trees or both to your creation.  Link the project to our Dies R Us "Leaves in the Trees" Challenge post by midnight, October 14th for the chance to win a $10 Gift Voucher to spend in the Dies R Us Store.

And don't forget, most importantly, as part of our challenge, we want to see your die-cuts too!

Visit the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for rules and guidelines. You can find them in the left side bar. While you're there, grab our Dies R Us Challenge Badge to share on your blog!

Here is my "Leaves in the Trees" inspiration...

Acorns abound in our driveway this time of year along with fallen leaves!  So, these fun papers were perfect for my project.   When the owl and leaf frame die cuts were released, I knew they would be part of my collection.  They are from a recently new company and now favorites of mine.  The dies are well made, have amazing designs and release paper with no problem!

The 6 x 6 card is full of layers and details.  The base is cut from cardstock and layered with patterned papers cut in gradual sizes for matting.  I cut the leaf frame from cardstock and added a small tag, leaves and a twine bow topped with buttons.  The owls are cut from one of the accent papers and placed across the top of the card looking down on the leaves.  I used pop dots for dimension and sprayed the entire card front with glitter dust for extra sparkle!
