Crat-Dee BowZ "BOO" and Sweet Treats!

It's my Tuesday up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog with my October inspiration.  The Design Team is playing with ribbons, of course, in the colors of black, orange and lime green.  Halloween colors, right?  And that's just where our theme, "Boo to you" is taking you!

When I was taking out the fall decorations last week, I realized that most of the Halloween items we have are seriously old and falling apart.  So, it was a good time for me to create new decorations to display for the grandchildren.

My inspirational projects....

These wooden letters spelling the word, "BOO" were the perfect decoration for the mantle.  I traced the letters on patterned paper and then painted the edges with black acrylic.  While the paint was drying, I cut out the letters and inked the edges.  Then I adhered them to the matching wooden block.  A few embellishments to give it that "Halloween" look and, voilà! A fun decoration.

Next, I altered a mulberry pint box to hold candy treats which I also decorated for Halloween.  I sprayed the box with 3 different colors of mist and then a coat of glitter spray.  A ghost and fab bow with a fun orange bell were the only embellishing needed.  I lined the box with white cheese cloth and added the candy treats shown below.

These sweet treats are mini candy bars wrapped in patterned paper and tucked into a clear plastic bag.  I placed a bow at the top of each bag.  These treats added to the pint box will make a great gift for someone special.

And last, a fun side step card using the same patterned papers on the "BOO" letters and candy treats.
