Nature's Beauty...Sunflowers

Welcome to our second Double D Challenge in October.

Sunflowers, a truly beautiful and mystic flower.  Did you know that as sunflowers grow, they turn east in the morning to face the sun and slowly turn west as the sun moves across the sky?  And, after dark, they return to their east facing position to meet a new day.

There are acres of sunflowers here in our area among the farm land.  The fields of sunflowers are often used as settings for photo shoots.  Such a glorious sight!

Our challenge theme for the next two weeks is, "Sunflowers".

Play along and you could be chosen as a Top Creative Winner or the random winner of this prize...

I was inspired by the photo in the top right of the mood board.

I love the contrast of the weathered wood and the bright sunflowers.  Gingham was the perfect background for these embellishments.  I used a PM card sketch for this design.

Come play along with our "Sunflower" Challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog.

I knew sunflowers followed the sun, but I did not know that after dark they return to the Eastern position. That is truly amazing!!! Sunflowers always make me smile, including yours. I love your design, you have really nailed that Mood Board!!! The gingham background is perfect here!
