Hey there bloggers friends...
New month, new challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog.
With Valentine's Day just a couple of weeks away, we're sharing one, very heartful mood board of inspiration. The theme for February's first challenge is "Hearts". Share your heart themed project with us and you could be one of our top creative winners or the lucky prize winner chosen by random draw for this awesome prize...
The inspiration...
I need lots of Valentines so I was an over achiever with this challenge...
This card was inspired by the photo in the upper left. I love the metal bucket and berries combined with the different patterns on the hanging hearts. A touch of teal for matting and accents along with some glass bead gel on the berries are just a couple of the many details. There is lots of texture and dimension on this card.
These mini cards are as clean and simple as I get when creating! I wanted to use as much of the mood board inspiration as possible on these cards.
The first one was inspired by the red and white gingham check that makes me think summer and picnics. The layered silver matte hearts mimic the bucket in the first photo.
The second mini combines the lavender and pale green in the second photo. The striped ribbon mimics the stripes on the fabric heart. I had to add a "cover up" under the sentiment because my stamp smeared! Ugh....
Mini number three is my favorite! I loved the muslin hearts in the mood board photos and knew I had some canvas in my stash that would look like muslin. The image is stamped with Staz On and then die cut. I gave it dimension with foam tape and embellished with twine and buttons.
