Make It A Banner Day!

Welcome back crafty friends!

It's April 1st and time for another Double D Challenge...no joke!  Our theme for this first challenge in April is "Banners", which has several definitions.  It can be a title across the top of a page, a string of flags hanging in celebration or a single piece of cloth hanging.  So many interpretations.   We want you to check out the mood board below and show us how it inspires your banner project.  Link it up to the Double D Challenge "Banners" Blog post by April 12th.  You could be the Top Creative Winner or one of three additional Top Creative Winners.  There's also a prize winner chosen by random draw.  Stop by and play along!

My "Banner" inspiration...

"Make It A Banner Day"

I have so many awesome collection kits that include sticker sheets.  For some reason, I use up the papers and not the stickers.  So, I am making a concerted effort to use them since I am not out and about buying new papers.  On line orders can be expensive depending on the shipping and besides, I need to use my enormous stash of crafting supplies.

The patterned papers and colors on this card are so fun and the hanging banner patterns worked well for this challenge.  I used a computer generated sentiment cut and matted with banner dies.  I also added some hand sketching to the edges of the large focal banner.  The top banner, llama and miscellaneous polka dots are all stickers with foam tape for dimension.  This card came together in a relatively short time!

Llama ding dong! Wow, What an awe-inspiring card. I adore the background paper and the banner on the top, but that llama is the best!

Barb had the best comment. I would love to go through your paper stash. You seem to have the perfect papers for every challenge. Your banner paper is perfect and so is the sentiment with matching llama.
