Lavender, Lilac and Purple!

Hi there crafty friends!

Do you remember the song, Lavender Blue Dilly Dilly?  It was a favorite of mine as a child because my mother sang it all the time.  Burl Ives made it famous back in 1948 when he sang it in the Disney movie, So Dear To My Heart.  I recently heard it in a Hallmark movie too.  And, that brings us to the theme of our new Double D Challenge...
Lavenders, Lilacs and Purples!
Our mood board is filled with beautiful inspiration including hearts!
And, there is an awesome prize for one winner chosen by random draw...
Memory Box Small Lavender Butterfly Right Corner

Here's my mood board inspired card...

"wonderful Mother"

With Mother's Day quickly approaching, I took this opportunity to make a card for my mother.  I was inspired by many of the details on the mood board...barn wood, gingham ribbon, hearts, and of course, the colors!

From my stash...
Bazzill, CTMH Cardstock
CTMH Topiary Ink

Mintay Berrylicious Collection

Gorgeous! Love how the lavender is stamped around your pretty die cut. The heart border is fantastic and your ribbon treatment is fabulous! This is so beautiful!

So much to talk about on this creative card. I love the lavender sprays on the die-cut circle and the sweet little flowers on the bottom. I made it bigger to get a better look. That larger circle is a great addition as are the ribbon (sweet) and the banner. Great Mother's day card!

How sweet!!! I love the delicate look of that wreath, and the gingham ribbon and wood background really gives this a rustic and quaint feel. Well done and great take on the challenge.

This is such a fabulous mother's day card, and just beautiful in the way you used the color scheme! I like how the flowers encircle the sentiment and that ribbon ties it all up beautifully!
